CES 2013: Best monitor deal to come out of CES

Monoprice is now offering a nice alternative to those large cheap monitors people have been buying on ebay from overseas, a 27-Inch 2560x1440 Monitor for $390. The heart of this display is a beautiful IPS (In-Plane Switching) LED panel made by LG in Korea. This is the same panel that is used in the 27" Apple Cinema Displays, which are famous for their stunning color reproduction and ultra-wide viewing angle. The IPS technology in this monitor helps produce this color and viewing angle, as well as increasing response time to 6 milliseconds, which is a critical factor for gaming.

Why buy from Monoprice instead of the overseas sellers on Ebay? The warranty of course, Monoprice is offering a five dead pixel return policy, which isn't bad, and the monitor comes with a general three year warranty. On Ebay it's a crap shoot if the seller will replace a DOA product or if your monitors breaks down after a few months and good luck getting someone on the phone if you have and issue without a translator. Monoprice is a bit easier to reach based in California and established in 2002, they have built a solid reputation by delivering premium quality products on par with the best known national brands at prices far below the retail average along with unmatched speed and service. They have always been by my goto website for HDMI and network cables.

Due to its popularity the $390 monitor is back-ordered at Monoprice.com but should ship on March 2nd.
